[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he new Netflix original series “Stranger Things” has blew up in the last couple month since its release. After tremendous success in season one, the producers of the show have announced a second season to be released on Netflix. With the forthcoming season expected to come out in 2017, the creators of the show face a lot of pressure to follow up with entertaining episodes. Fans of Stranger Things can expect to see the original cast from season one alongside a couple of new character additions. The first being American actress, Sadie Sink from shows like American Odyssey and The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, who is set to play as a girl named “Max”. A strong and confident girl who gets involved with the shows younger characters.
The second addition to the shows cast is Power Rangers actor Dacre Montgomery, who will be playing Max’s brother “Billy”, a muscular and overly confident high school student from the shows small town setting. The last character to join the series is “Roman”, a 30 year old man who is out for revenge after going through a tragic loss.
With the mysterious and eerie plot that the show provided in the first season, the story leaves off with the disappearance of a young boy in a town where many unusual things take place. From monsters to “upside down worlds”, and parallel dimension the sci-fi filled thriller promises to continue unveiling secrets that add to the shows suspenseful story line. Confirmation of a second season was publicly announced last August, after the immense support from the Stranger Things fan base. Leading to almost a double of Netflix subscriptions in recent months the second season is set to drop next year in the summer. Fans can watch season one of “Stranger Things” on Netflix now.
